beautiful day to you,

my name is jasmine

i am a birthworker, interdisciplinary artist, and traveler — and my practice ‘Helia Soul Holds’ is my testimony.

through it, i see the work i do with birthing families and the art that moves through me as an act of surrender. i am surrendering to a cultivation of understanding our inner knowings, cycles and rhythms, transitions and thresholds, and our capacities to feel, sense, and choose.

this practice im in reverence for calls me to work slowly and in partnership with our bodies inherent ordering. the spaces i hold are rooted in the understanding that the body is a living archive. that sensation carries story. that our tissues, wombs, bones, breath, and nervous systems hold memory, lineage, and intelligence.

the work i do is for those standing at a threshold. for birthing families, that can be pre-conception, pregnancy, moving through loss, postpartum, and while your children shift from infancy through adolescence.

i work with the entire family, children and extended support people included, to facilitate a space where birthing families can nurture the learning of themselves as they embark on their transition from becoming to landing. by amplifying the voices of birthing people, supporting caregivers surrounding them, and educating the children amongst them, i look to inspire a culture of openness and encourage interdependent communication.

at the heart of my practice is the belief that healing is not something we achieve.

it is something we remember.

i am interested in the subtleties:
the quiet signals beneath words,
the shifts in breath,
the moments when the body says yes, no, or not yet.

in peace and progress,

jasmine
